Dr. Eva K. Jermakowicz, CPA is an
international accounting author, expert and educator with over 25 years of experience in the international accounting field. She was a Fulbright scholar in Brussels, Belgium, for the academic year 2003-2004, where her project was “Convergence of National Accounting Standards with International Financial Reporting Standards.” She was also a Fulbright scholar in Poland in 1997.
Dr. Jermakowicz has consulted on international projects under the auspices of the World Bank, United Nations, and Nicom Consulting, Ltd. Her primary areas of interest are international accounting and finance. Research engagements include the development of a seminar on Cost Accounting delivered in Poland on behalf of the World Bank; and assignments with the Ministry of Privatization and Ministry of Finance in Warsaw, Poland, on accounting reforms.
Dr. Jermakowicz is the co-author of several international accounting books, including
Wiley IFRS 09: Interpretation and Application of International Financial Reporting Standards and
Wiley IFRS Policies and Procedures. She has had numerous articles published in academic journals and proceedings.
The European Union, Australia, Japan, Canada, Mexico and over 100 countries around the world have already or will be adopting International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as set forth by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). Dr. Jermakowicz is available to assist accountants and corporate executives prepare for a conversion from U.S. GAAP to IFRS, or apply IFRS principles in international joint ventures, U.S. subsidiary reporting statements, and other multinational accounting matters.
